Why High Intensity Laser Therapy?

High Intensity Laser Therapy, or HILT, is at the forefront of new and exciting applications in therapeutic treatment. It is immediate and drug-free while reducing pain and promoting healing from the inside out. It works similarly to how Vitamin D is converted by our bodies from sunlight – converting light into biochemical energy. Our laser photons stimulate receptors of the mitochondria (the cell's source of power). This cause of action reduces swelling and pain at the same time increasing blood flow to facilitate tissue repair.

What conditions does the therapy treat?

Our laser therapy has helped patients recover from the following conditions:

  • Severe back pains
  • Post-surgery pains
  • Shoulder pains
  • Lower back pains
  • Neck pains
  • Epicondylitis
  • Arthritis
  • Neuralgia
  • Plantar fasciitis
  • How is laser therapy any different than other forms of treatment?

Laser therapy is based on cutting-edge technology. Its efficiency and applications have stretched the limits of therapeutic treatments to unparalleled levels. It is fast, cost-effective, efficient, drug-free, and multipurpose.

How is the treatment done and what are the benefits?

The laser therapy procedure is simple and straightforward. The laser equipment is placed right above your body and the energy from the equipment will be transmitted through the damaged tissues in the form of small bubbles which stimulate cells, knit tissues, and ultimately revive organs. This process can be referred to as cellular stimulation or tissue regeneration.

Are there any health risks involved?

No, there are no risks or side effects which come about as a result of the laser therapy. Additionally, the therapy is done by medical professionals who take all the necessary safety precautions required. As we undertake the therapy, we are always aware of our patients and their needs and sensations during the process. We can adjust the treatment accordingly.

Is it painful?

Absolutely not. This is one of the great advantages of High Intensity Laser Therapy. Patients experience a slight warming on the point of contact between the laser and their skin. While traditional medicine involves painful surgical operations, this is simple and painless. You will also reduce your dependency on painkillers after the therapy.

Does the high-intensity laser burn skin?

No. The laser power starts at very low values and if you feel any heat you can always notify the operator to reduce the energy. The machine is closely monitored and utilizes presets to ensure that risks are eliminated.

How many sessions of the therapy do I need to get well?

The number of sessions varies from one patient to another. It depends on the severity of the condition and how your body reacts to the treatment. Normally, 5 to 15 sessions are sufficient for most conditions, with intermittent maintenance sessions thereafter. Between two to five sessions per week is an ideal frequency of treatment. There are no limits to the number of sessions you can get.

How long until I see or feel the result?

Typically, it takes our patients two to four sessions to feel the results. However, not everyone responds to treatments the same way and some cases are more severe than others. Some people may feel significant pain reduction after the first session while others will require 10 sessions.

Are the results long term?

The goal of laser therapy is to heal the root cause of your pain. It’s not about reducing the pain, it’s about healing the condition that causes the pain so there is no pain! The laser therapy is, therefore, a long-term treatment to your condition.

Can the therapy be used with other treatment options?

Yes. In fact, it is most effective if used in conjunction with other forms of treatment such as tissue mobilization, exercises, diet plans, and more.

How do I tell if laser therapy is appropriate for me?

This is something you will need to discuss with a doctor. When you visit our clinic, we will examine your condition and determine if the procedure will be the best treatment for your case. The therapy is not appropriate for everyone.

How does it affect metal implants?

Laser therapy is a very mild treatment which has no significant effect on metal implants.

Is laser therapy covered by medical insurance?
